CALF CREEK RECREATION AREA Calf Creek Recreation Area located one hour away. Hike along tumbling Calf Creek, past ancient Puebloan ruins, to a lovely waterfall. ANASAZI INDIAN VILLAGE STATE PARK Anasazi Indian Village State Park located one hour away. Visit the museum and the partially excavated prehistoric Indian village at Anasazi State Park. Step inside the recreated living structure to see how the ancient Puebloans once lived on the site. COTTONWOOD ROAD Cottonwood Road is the most scenic back road to the campground (not suitable for large trailers and RV's). Drive through one of America's last frontiers on unpaved Cottonwood Road. Take a side trip to Skutumpah Road, Grosvenor Arch and the Cockscomb. Be sure to check ahead for road conditions. HIGHWAY 12 Highway 12 is a National Scenic Byway and Utah's only All American Road. Scenic enough to be a travel destination all by itself, Highway 12 leads through historic ranching towns and miles of breathtaking scenery. Stop by the Visitor Center to pick up a map, then jump on your mountain bike, or put on your hiking boots. After your visit, be sure to stop in Tropic for a Western-style dinner.

RED CANYON MOUNTAIN BIKING Red Canyon offers many options, including the renowned Thunder Mountain Trail. If you want something less demanding, you can follow its paved bicycle path through beautiful, red-rock hoodoos. Kodachrome Basin is also popular with mountain bikers.
